Today my mind keeps going back to all the refugees in South Sudan, as I think about all they must continue to battle, even after escaping the battle of gunfire and explosives. There's the heat, the crowded tents, the lack of nutritious food, the murky water, and the infected cuts with flies buzzing around. There's even the violence and corruption within the refugee camps themselves. It seems as though the troubles of the South Sudanese people will never end. I wish I was there to lend a hand. I wish South Sudan had more in place to help out its own people. I wish for so many things. When wishing isn't enough I just have to pray and trust that God makes all things for good and that His peace and glory will one day shine on this land of big sky, tall grass, and open hands.
update from the BBC
Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth,
as it is in heaven...
